Teaching Grammar Rhetorically, Part 3

In order to assist educators in teaching grammar effectively, I have compiled (and continue to add to) an extensive list of exemplary sentences from published authors.  Each sentence corresponds to a different part of grammar (ex: sentences that contain adverbial clauses).  Have students discuss what the author is doing in each sentence, whether or not they find the sentence effective and why, and have them mimic the sentences structures they are drawn to.  You will soon see vast improvements in student writing.
